Lenolia was born November 27, 1921, in Talladega, Alabama to the union of Burt and Claudia Lawson. She attended and graduated from the Talladega County Training School. In 1946 she married the love of her life Robert Lieutenant Easley, Sr. To this union were born three sons, Kenneth, Bruce and Robert, Jr. and one daughter Countess. ![]() | |

I did not get to see you as much as I would have liked to, when I became an adult married with my own family... but I always knew you were there. DOROTHY RUTH Age 82, died at The Lakeland Center Nursing Home in Southfield, Michigan on April 20, 2016 after a brief illness. Born on December 25, 1933 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Isaac Marshall Sr. and Lee Ella Marshall, she graduated from Carver High School in 1951. Dorothy attended college at Howard University. On July 28, 1957, she married Arthur Cunningham. Dorothy worked at the US Army Tank Automotive Command (TACOM) for over 32 years. After retirement, she volunteered at the Red Cross and St. John Providence Hospital. Dorothy was a member of National Association for Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include, husband, Arthur Cunningham, daughter, Chrystal Roberts, son, Kenneth Cunningham, daughter Gail Bryant (Joseph), stepdaughter, Marcella Beidleman and six grandchildren. Burial was at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens, 17840 Middlebelt Road, Livonia, MI. 48152. ![]() | |
